Privacy Policy

Affinity Care Homes is a group of care homes across England and Wales. This policy explains how we look after personal information when you use this website or get in touch with us.

What we collect

If you contact us, for example by email or telephone, we receive the details you give us, such as your name, contact details and the reason for your enquiry. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects anonymised information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit and the type of device you use. If you ask for a call back, we receive what you put in the form: your name, email address, phone number, the day and time you prefer, the home and topic you choose, and any message you add.

How we use it

We use your details only to respond to your enquiry, and, where you ask about a particular home, to pass it to that home so they can help you. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your agreement.

Call back requests

We use the details in a call back request only to phone you back about your request, during our office hours of Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. The request is sent by email to our office team through an email service provider. The website itself does not keep a copy, and we keep the email only as long as we need it to deal with your request. Please do not include medical or other sensitive details in the form; we can talk them through on the call.

Sharing

Each of our homes is run by its own local team. We may share your enquiry with the relevant home, and with service providers who help us run the website and our email. We will share information where the law requires it.

Maps

Our maps are provided by OpenStreetMap. When a map is shown, your browser loads the map images from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your IP address in order to send them. OpenStreetMap does not set cookies for this. If you choose “Get directions”, Google Maps opens in a new tab under Google’s own privacy policy.

Keeping it

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to deal with your request, and as the law requires, then delete them securely.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you can object to how we use it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
